Adopt Me: Brutus the gentle giant (adopted)

He would definitely benefit from a bit of obedience training and would do best in a home with a fenced yard

OrilliaMatters, in partnership with the SPCA Orillia Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Hey there! My name is Brutus and I am a two-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler/hound mix. I am a big guy who loves to make new friends. My size may be a bit intimidating, but I am a gentle giant.

I also don’t identify as a large breed, and tend to act more like a small dog. I would love to be someone’s lap dog and just spend as much time with people as possible.

I was a bit shy when I came in to the Orillia Animal Centre, but I quickly warmed up to all the staff. They always tell me I’m such a good boy; I just need to work on my manners a little bit.

I am very enthusiastic about going outside and on walks, so a harness is absolutely necessary to help control my strength. I am a very obedient and kind boy who is looking for a family who can keep up with me and who I can share all of my love with.

I don’t seem to mind other canines, but I may need to meet with them first to make sure we are a good fit. I would definitely benefit from a bit of obedience training and would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

I am currently on the adoption floor at the SPCA Orillia Animal Centre. If you would like to meet me, please come by and speak with the staff today. I look forward to seeing you soon!
