Hi. I’m Elsa. I may look big and tough, but I’m just an oversized teddy bear whose favourite thing is to be hugged.
I don’t really understand my size, so when you sit down, I will come and sit on your lap and lean in for the snuggles. Watch out — I’m a tadheavy, but that just means there’s more of me to adore. I am such a cuddle bug, and I love my humans so much.
I am lonely here at the shelter and I don’t like being in my kennel alone. I want to be with people. I will look to you for reassurance and love when you put your arms around me and give me lots of kisses. I’ll lie down and put my head on your legs, content to let you rub my face or my belly.
I love when people come in to visit me and I really enjoy going outside for walks and having a good sniff around. I walk well on the leash for the most part. If I see someone I want to say hi to, I can pull, so I need a bit of training, but I’m a smart cookie and I learn quickly. Speaking of cookies, I am quite partial to the odd cookie — or five.
I have lived with children in my previous family, and I enjoy their company. When I meet new people, I can get a bit excited, because I just love company so much. I’m a social butterfly. I am a good girl. I’m clean in the house, I’m good in the car (I enjoy car rides), and I am even well behaved at the vet. Overall, I am an extremely loyal girl who wants to find my ‘furever’ family so I don’t have to be lonely anymore.
Come meet me. You will see my soft and squishy side shine through.
