Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to make an announcement at 1:00 p.m. today at Queen's Park.
Today's press conference comes just days after the government confirmed they were planning on stopping Grade 9 “applied” and “academic” track streaming. In the same announcement, the provincial government introduced a bill that would ban the suspension of students in junior kindergarten up until Grade 3.
Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, and Jamil Jivani, Ontario's Advocate for Community Opportunities, to make the announcement.
