NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA VOCAL ENSEMBLE
*************************
On Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m., the Orillia Vocal Ensemble will perform at St. Paul's Centre to raise funds for Born to Read.

Born to Read is a local charitable initiative providing new books to newborns and their families through a partnership with Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, the Orillia Public Library, Ramara Township Public Library and Manticore Books. Last year, Born to Read provided 2,000 books to local families and their infants.

In keeping  with this wonderful mission, the OVE will perform a variety of music reflecting hope, vision and aspiration. A beautiful and moving choral arrangement of the song Pussy Willows, Cat-Tails by Gordon Lightfoot will be performed as a homage to the much loved artist.

The OVE is also pleased to welcome guest performers, The Orillia Community Children's Choir, directed by Julia Johnston and the Orillia Recorder Consort.  The concert will be led by OVE Music Director, Blair Bailey and Collaborative Pianist Katie Pergau.

It's a Wednesday evening, it's free admission and a great opportunity to donate to a local charity while you Let Your Imagination Soar!

Doors open at 7 p.m, Donations will be gratefully gathered during the concert.
