I grew up in a lower income, blue collar family, and credit my parents with instilling my siblings and I with the values of hard work, fairness, equity and inclusion.

I have devoted much of my life to community building, and I look forward to being able to bring that dedication and experience to Ottawa, and to make it work for you.

The Liberal Government has made tremendous strides in the past four years like creating 1 million new jobs across the country, taking steps to make housing more affordable, and investing in Canadians implementing the Canada Child Benefit and increasing to the Canada Pension Plan to lift over 1 million Canadians out of poverty.

This election is about continuing to move forward with that good work.

When it comes to policy, I believe in strong action on climate change and the environment, more effective democracy through a ranked ballot, social and economic equity, affordable housing, smart communities and rural economic development, supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, improving circumstances for seniors, better pathways for young people, and providing excellent constituency service.

As Executive Assistant to our former Liberal MP, Paul DeVillers, a senior policy advisor who has advised Ministers in Ottawa and Queen’s Park, an entrepreneur, and a key player in the Mariposa Folk Festival, I know how to effectively serve this community, and have the experience to get things done.

This election is a choice between a Conservative plan of austerity and cuts, and our Liberal plan to invest in Canadians, to make life more affordable for you. I will work day in and out to improve the lives of working Canadians, help local businesses, and support our most vulnerable.

I promise to be your voice in Ottawa, to support growth and positive change here in Simcoe North.
