We are looking for an Operations Shift Supervisor to join the team in our Finishing Premium line. The role will be exposed to a fast-paced, team-based work environment in which strong leadership skills would be a great asset. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages shift in a production facility
  • Directs employees
  • Follows up on productivity, downtime, delays, and quality KPIs
  • Performs quality, and safety inspections
  • Follows up on training requirements
  • Interfaces with maintenance on routine and non-routine items
  • Performs accidents and incidents investigation
  • Manages Safety and Quality actions to be implemented
  • Reports on daily productivity and delays
  • Analyzes and provide solution for critical failures
  • Interfaces with ancillary departments (Safety, Quality, Maintenance, SUCH)
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area. 
     

Education/Experience:

  • Relevant technical diploma or degree and previous experience 3-5 years in an industrial, manufacturing environment required

       OR

  • +10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical design and drafting, CAD preferable, an asset
  • Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution-based ideas
  • Ability to manage and rotate in shift work
  • Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
     

Skills:

  • Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry an asset
  • Intermediate Excel and Office skills
  • Safety and Quality minded, detail oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills, Boots on the ground personality, interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the company
