On March 17, the COVID-19 global pandemic forced Orillia Optometry to close its doors to patients and staff.
Dr. Shawn Moore felt compelled to step up and help the community during this very difficult time.
Over the course of three weeks, several pairs of premium sunglasses and eyeglass frames were auctioned off on Instagram and Facebook.
As a result, more than $1,300 was raised for the Sharing Place Food Centre.
Dr. Moore said he is thankful for those who participated and made bids on the items.
