NEWS RELEASE
SIMCOE COUNTY
*****************************
County of Simcoe Paramedic Services kicked off the 19th annual Toy Drive on Nov. 12, 2021, so far collecting 1,705 toys, more than 2,130 pounds of food and more than $11,250 in cash and gift cards.

The Toy Drive was bolstered by two significant donations from a local family and business. Special thanks to the Mathias family, who over the course of the year purchased 594 toys, saving them in their living room until the day they could make their donation.

Another huge thank-you to Liahona Capital in Barrie for their extremely generous donation of $2,500 in gift cards.

These contributions will go a long way to helping many children and families in need in having a happy holiday season.

Reminder that donations, along with new, unwrapped toys and food will be accepted at various locations across Simcoe County. Visit simcoe.ca/toydrive to learn more.
