Township of Ramara announces further closures and cancellations

Building inspections are suspended and all meetings but Council are cancelled. Monday's city council meeting is planned for 11 a.m.

In recognizing the state of emergency announced by Premier Ford, the Township is continuing to meet regularly to ensure decisions are made based on recommendations from the province and public health officials. As always and particularly during this unprecedented time, the health and safety of our community are of utmost importance. Please refer to the table below for details on how COVID-19 has impacted municipal services for the Township of Ramara.

Administration Building

Closed to the public until April 5th with the possibility of extension. Limited staff are available in the Administration Building, but the township is focused on ensuring business continuity is upheld.

Residents are asked to contact the Township via phone and/or e-mail. Payments can be made online or placed in the drop-box located at the Township Administration Building. 

Council Meetings

Council meeting scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2020, is planned for 11 a.m. instead of 7 p.m.

In order to ensure residents are up to date on Council matters, audio files and Council minutes are posted on the Township website. Future meetings will be planned on a priority basis.

ALL meetings including Committee of Adjustment

Building Inspections

Suspended

All building inspections are suspended effective March 19, 2020. For more information, please refer to the Township website at www.ramara.ca.

Ramara Centre (including Library)

Closed - All programming, March Break Day camps, events and rentals are cancelled

Full refunds will be issued.

Ramara Library (Brechin Location) 

Closed - All programming, March Break Day camps, events and rentals are cancelled

Full refunds will be issued. 

Ramara Fire Halls 

Closed to public

Emergency Services will continue

Community Centres

 Closed to public

Full refunds will be issued. 

Works Yards 

Closed to public

Public will need to call or e-mail the Administration Building.
