Ralphy’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary

Our Roots
Founded in 2003, when we took in our first rescued horse, Ralphy's Retreat is a registered not for profit animal sanctuary in beautiful Wyebridge, Ontario.

Our mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, neglected, and abused pot-bellied pigs, as well as those piggies that can no longer stay with their families. Our sanctuary is also home to aplacas, horses, donkeys, cats, feathered friends, goats and dogs,

We work hard to increase public awareness of the treatment of animals, and provide humane education programs to children and adult groups. We are also proud to offer human-animal experiences to individuals, families, and community groups.

Be an Angel for a Ralphy's Retreat Resident

Did you know that we rely solely on donations and fundraising to rescue and care for our animal family at Ralphy's Retreat?

When you sponsor one of Ralphy's Retreat family members, it means they will continue to be safe and warm and have a true friend to look out for them all year round.

Could that friend be you?

Please make a piggy wish come true and sponsor today!

Meet some of the wonderful animals that call Ralphy's home.

Our animals come to us from a variety of situations, including re-homing, abandonment, neglect, and sadly abuse.

We refer to all of our pigs as 'pot-bellied pigs' because we firmly believe this name most accurately represents what they are.  Remember, there is no such thing as a 'tea-cup', 'micro' or 'mini-pig'!

All of our animals are available to sponsor.  If you can't see your favourite Ralphy's resident in the gallery, please contact us and we will be happy to give you an update and set up sponsorship!
