A signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of Canada, Dave is a self taught professional artist since an early age. At the age of 83 he is painting and conducting workshop in his chosen mediums. Dave's research and subject gathering takes him to many favourite locations of interest including his travels across his home country of Canada, Taxco and San Miguel de Allende Mexico, the UK and the southern states of the United States. Collectors include corporations, governments and private collectors worldwide. Galleries include, Gallery on the Lake, Buckhorn, Ontario.

He is an enthusiast instructor offering workshops both for art groups and his own Ontario studio workshops in Spring and Fall. Presently he is developing 4 new instructional videos and a book of his work soon to be announced on this website. It is not unusual to find Dave canoeing the Georgian Bay region and Algonquin Park in northern Ontario. Each year takes him to Mexico gathering information by photography and sketching trips. He is self published a large collection of Giclee editions of his original works. He has served as juror for many art clubs and annual exhibitions and organizations. Dave's range of subjects are landscapes, seascapes and still life...subjects from his travels. An award-winning artist, He resides in his 1840 log home where he operates his art gallery of fine art near Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
