This is an exciting time to be an Ontario Liberal. We're set to elect a new leader at the leadership convention in Mississauga on March 6-7, 2020.

Since our democracy is stronger when there is broad engagement, Simcoe North Provincial Liberals are reaching out to you.

You can help make this leadership decision if you have a current Ontario Liberal membership as of 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019. That's the cut-off date for membership for those who want to participate in the leadership process.

When you join or renew your membership before the cut-off date, you'll receive updates from the Ontario Liberal Party which explain how the leadership process works and how you can vote for a delegate to represent you at the convention.

Delegates to the convention will be chosen by vote at a Simcoe North Delegate Election Meeting on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020.

Prefer to be the delegate at the convention and to vote for the next leader in-person? Before the cut-off date, join the Ontario Liberal Party or renew your membership. You'll receive updates about the delegate election process and be asked to formally submit your intent to stand as a delegate. Your name will appear on a ballot at the local Delegate Election Meeting.

Joining or renewing your membership has never been easier. You don't have to be a life-long Liberal; you can simply be interested in charting a progressive course for an important political party (but you can't have membership in another provincial political party).

Memberships can be purchased or renewed online or over the telephone, and costs $20 or less for a two-year membership—with reduced rates for seniors (65 years of age and older) and youth (25 years of age or under).

To join the Ontario Liberal Party, to renew your membership, or to verify if your membership will be current by the cut-off date, click here or call the Ontario Liberal Party at 1-800-268-7250.

Have questions about the local Ontario Liberal organization? Contact Trevor Sykes, President of the Simcoe North Provincial Liberal Association directly at [email protected] or 705-955-7600.

This is an exciting time to be an Ontario Liberal and your Simcoe North Provincial Liberals, who are volunteers from your community, want you to have the chance to participate in our leadership process.

Fred Larsen
Simcoe North Liberal member
