LETTER: Attention men: Grab a bandana before you go shopping!

Masks tend to fit tight and snug and appeal more to women; Top doc says a bandana is an accepted face covering, letter writer notes

So, masks and other face coverings will be required in Orillia. Scientifically a good idea.

But a person just said, in Orillia you see far more women than men, wearing masks. Well I can tell you why, and what to do about it.

The problem is this. Some 90% of photos of folk wearing masks, are pictures of young women. And 100% of masks are very feminine: they fit tight and snug under the smooth bare chin. Looks pretty; but this appeals to women more than to men.

Dr. Gardner has solved this problem. He includes the bandana as an accepted face covering. Makes you look like an actor playing a Western movie stagecoach robber. Very masculine.

And for a man with a beard, it's even better: the bandana over his beard gives more protection, by making the beard an extra filter.

So my idea is this. Show photos of men with beards, wearing bandanas!

And when you go in a place, dressed like that, ask, "Where's the audition for the Western movie?"
