The following letter is in response to an article regarding a municipal boundary expansion in Wellington County, published May 16.

Oro-Medonte development services and council have their hands full with short-term rental bylaw violations, traffic controls, moraine and agricultural land protection and a looming land grab by Orillia.

Meanwhile, a tornado created by the province may soon be blowing into Simcoe County and overriding all of those efforts to cope as illustrated in the article about Wellington County.

The Ford dictatorship still has years to go before another election. And the portrayal of a housing crisis is part of its strategy in playing the monopoly game — applying the same principles of property control and greed. Hold on to your hats.
