The Mariposa Fok Festival got off to a stormy start Friday at Tudhope Park, but the crowd was unfazed.

After a brief downpour, the show went on with Birds of Chicago kicking things off on the main stage.

Also performing on the main stage tonight are LeE HARVeY OsMOND, Hawksley Workman and others, with Half Moon Run set to close out the night under the stars.

The festival continues all weekend, with Tom Cochrane and Red Rider headlining Saturday and My Son the Hurricane closing the show Sunday.

In between there will be more than 100 artistic performances of both emerging and established folk artists on 11 stages.
