Car careens off Highway 400, crashes into dealership (4 photos)

Small Pontiac crashed through dealership fence, striking a blue Jeep for sale on the lot

After careening off Highway 400, a small car came to rest in the parking lot of the Barrie Chrysler dealership, Thursday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, with the OPP's Highway Safety Division, the female driver was taken to local hospital with "relatively minor injuries."

There was no information on the woman's age or hometown.

The crash remains under investigation, Schmidt said, and there is no word on whether any charges will be laid.

It appears the white Pontiac was heading southbound on Highway 400 when it left the roadway near the exit sign, skipped across the traffic island, across the on-ramp and through a fence where it struck a blue Jeep that was for sale and parked on the property.

The crash resulted in the Jeep ending up on its passenger side.
