The Carley Community Hall Board is looking for volunteers who may be willing and interested in sharing the following tasks:
- Monthly hall check and clean
- Spring/Fall garden maintenance
- Telephone calls (reservations for pasta supper dinner; calling bakers for Christmas Craft Sale)
- Baking for Christmas Craft Sale
- Donations for Silent Auction June 1
- Flier assembly and distribution
- Assistance at fundraising events (4)
If you have time and live in Oro-Medonte and want to help support your local Community Hall in any of these tasks, please call Louise Calvert-Dale at 705- 835-2994. It’s a great way to meet your neighbours and get involved in the community.
The Hall Board meets Wednesday, March 21 to begin preparation for its spring fundraisers. The Pancake Breakfast is on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Bring your family for breakfast with delicious pancakes, sausages and pure maple syrup from McCutcheon’s.
Also mark Friday, June 1 on your calendar for the annual Carley Community Hall Pasta Supper/Silent Auction. This popular event will require advance booking. For information please refer to the hall’s website: www.carleycommunityhall.com or the Facebook page: Facebook.com/carleycommunityhall
The “country way” is alive and well at Carley Community Hall: people supporting one another, teamwork, giving back to community. We hope you will come out and be a part of our dynamic volunteer team.
The Hall is yours to rent for a minimal fee. It’s a perfect location for reunions, weddings, showers, meetings, workshops, art classes and more. Please put this lovely century building to use.
