The Community Development Corp. (CDC) is hosting a succession and transition planning workshop at the Mariposa Best Western on Jan. 31 from 8 - 11 a.m., starting with a networking breakfast at 8 a.m. followed by speaker presentations at 8:30 a.m.

The day’s panelists will be comprised of Tim Timpano, partner at Downey Tornosky Lassaline and Timpano Law, Brad Carnahan, partner in the accounting firm at BDO Canada LLP, Adam Burton, Financial Consultant at IPC Securities Corporation, and Mariano Tulipano, local entrepreneur and founder/former owner of Downtown Computers.  

Panelists will provide legal, accounting and financial planning information and topics will include succession planning, dealing with company incorporation, business planning and organization, employment contracts and tax specialist advice.

This workshop will be of value to business owners who want to ensure they understand how to set-up and manage their business to allow for the best opportunity for future transition. It will also be of value to prospective buyers and sellers.
