CNIB Lake Joe invites you to gather your friends and family, register your dock, deck or patio from anywhere you are, and get ready for the highly renowned party of the summer as you help raise funds for Canada’s only fully accessible camp for people living with sight loss.

Taking place on Aug. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m., CNIB Lake Joe Dock-to-Dock: Taste of Muskoka aims to raise $170,000 for a new ski boat and water sports program at the CNIB camp, making it possible for everyone to enjoy the thrill of waterskiing.

By participating, you’ll not only enjoy the event of the season, but you’ll support CNIB Lake Joe, a one-of-a-kind camp offering a wide range of innovative programs to help participants with sight loss boost their skills, build confidence, gain independence, and have fun within a community of people who understand them and celebrate their uniqueness.

“CNIB Lake Joe’s annual summer event is a vital initiative that ensures the camp’s success, while also helping us connect with our community partners, local businesses, past sponsors, and participants from previous Dock-to-Dock events,” says Diane El-Hachem, event lead. “Without the support of our community, CNIB Lake Joe would not be able to offer our accessible and inclusive programs for Canadians living with sight loss and their families.”

This year’s event promises to offer a Taste of Muskoka by highlighting the region’s impressive offerings, industries, and businesses. CNIB Lake Joe is calling on all Muskoka restaurants, resorts, and shops to take part in this event in a variety of ways.

Participants are invited to register online and participate in Muskoka’s largest synchronized dock party. When participants raise a minimum of $1,000, they will receive a “Taste of Muskoka Dock Box” filled with specially curated items from the best of Muskoka.
