ORILLIA DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION ASSOCIATION

The Orillia District Construction Association (ODCA) is looking for a community project to support during the summer of 2018. The association strives to assist the construction industry by bringing together the people and resources to foster their business needs.
The association members volunteer their time, skills and construction material for a project that requires assistance and will benefit the community in Orillia and the surrounding area.
The ODCA is asking for groups or individuals to submit their ideas by April 30, 2018. Proposals will be reviewed and a selection will be made based on the following criteria:
Projects must include construction-related activities in which the members can provide appropriate assistance;
Projects must provide a benefit to the Orillia area community and be generally accessible to the public;
Projects must be organized by the applicant, with a clear plan and schedule outlined; and
Projects must of reasonable size and timeline for the volunteers to successfully execute.
Past projects the ODCA has been involved with include:
- Coldwater Canadiana Heritage Museum
- New Fence at Camp Couchiching
- Ice Castle at Orillia Winter Carnival
- Regent Park Public School Playground
- Viewing platform at Scout Valley
- The House for the Hospital
- Completion of part of the Lightfoot Trail
