Meet Aubrey, one of the program participants at the Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH).

Aubrey started taking programs at the museum in the summer for Canvas and Clay Art Camp. Since then, Aubrey has participated in many programs and recently held her seventh birthday at OMAH.

Aubrey’s favourite things to make are animals, foxes and cats, especially. She enjoys taking tours of the museum and galleries, as well as doing the art show for parents at the end of the week. To Aubrey, art means “beauty and love, because people can make really pretty stuff. I love it.”

Help us improve Aubrey’s experience by purchasing a ticket to OMAH’s Drawliday Festival. Funds raised from this event will go toward improving our children’s experiences in the Dorothy Macdonald Creative Studio.

Did you know that before the Drawliday Festival occurs, we will already have had over 500 students visit the museum for our education programs alone? We would like to improve on the students' experiences, by upgrading lighting with track lights using LED bulbs, a metal art basin, a dedicated laptop, custom storage, easels, and a new smartboard.

With your support, we can together help foster creativity in our community.

For each ticket purchased, you will get to take home a unique work of art, created by one of over 100 local artists. The works of art are currently on display.

Help us celebrate on Friday, Dec. 6 from 6:30 p.m. at a fun evening where you will get to pick one  work of art (more if you buy more tickets!), groove to the smooth sounds of The Will Davis Trio featuring Hugh Coleman and share the merriment of our festive season.

Thank you to our event supporters:

  • John Mayo & Associates, BMO Nesbitt-Burns
  • Home Hardware
  • Jill Dunlop, MPP Simcoe North
  • Mariposa Market

There’s no place like OMAH for the Drawlidays!

Purchase tickets online here, call 705-326-2159 or drop into the museum, located at 30 Peter St. S..
