Dress for Success Power of the Purse event to unfold Jan. 26

'Auctionista' will take guests through live auction while drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be catered by Orillia's Melanie Robinson of Eclectic Café
Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie boutique manager Rosie Williams shows off some of the Power of the Purse auction items and the Coach handbag door prize.

Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie has moved their Power of the Purse fundraiser from MacLaren Art Centre to a new venue, Traditions at Sheba Shrine in Barrie.

Layne “the Auctionista” will host the evening and take guests through the live auction, with exciting, unique experiences to bid on. The silent auction will feature beautiful designer and one-of-a-kind handbags, and more. There will also be drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by Chopped Canada champion and owner of Eclectic Café, Melanie Robinson.

A special-edition Coach handbag is the door prize for the evening, and a stunning black leather Gucci handbag is part of the live auction, donated by Oatley Vigmond.

All proceeds from the event go to Dress for Success Orillia and Barrie and the programs they provide to unemployed and under-employed women and non-binary individuals throughout the Simcoe County area.

Join Dress for Success on Jan. 26 for a special evening filled with fun and connection, all for a great cause.
