Friends, family, and community members came together at the Lake Country Grill last weekend to show their love and support for Jodie Lambertsen-Ferrie, her husband Darren, and their son, Cole, as they continue with Jodie's journey to wellness after being diagnosed with brain and breast cancer.
The fundraising event was generously hosted at The Lake Country Grill and numerous donations were received for the raffle and silent auction. A special thank you is extended to Mandy Weaver-McKinnon, who organized the event, and to those people that assisted her.
Although Jodie had planned to surprise everyone and attend the event, she was unable to attend due to a sudden illness. Jodie was able to FaceTime, however, and speak with attendees. She is overwhelmed with the love and support she and her family are receiving.
"We are so overjoyed with the turnout and generosity we have received. It has been amazing and so unexpected," she said. "The love and prayers we have received is awesome! The last few months have been a whirlwind for us, but the support we have received empowers me not only to embrace the positivity, but to learn as much as I can about this disease so I can beat it!”
