Mayor Steve Clarke will present the 2018 Partnership Programming for Cultural Festivals and Events grants on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. This is the first installment of the 2018 City of Orillia grants program. The total grants budget for 2018 is $62,000.

The grants will be presented at the mayor's office, City Centre, 50 Andrew St. S.

Grant recipients through the 2018 Partnership Programming for Cultural Festivals and Events:

  • Mariposa Folk Foundation - $30,000
  • Orillia Scottish Festival - $2,500
  • Orillia Winter Carnival - $2,500
  • Roots North Music Festival - $2,000
  • Starry Night Studio and Gallery Tour - $1,500
  • Orillia Jazz Festival - $1,000

The Partnership Programming for Cultural Festivals and Events program recognizes the valuable contribution festivals and events make to the economic and social fabric of the City, building strong partnerships between the not-for-profit, business and cultural sectors.
