Freezing rain warning in effect for:
    •    Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
    •    Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
    •    Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Freezing rain likely tonight and Wednesday morning.

Precipitation associated with an approaching spring storm will start off as snow or rain but will likely change over to freezing rain overnight or possibly as early as this evening. There is potential for several hours of freezing rain lasting into Wednesday morning.

Hazardous winter driving conditions on untreated roads are possible.

Snowfall amounts will likely be limited to a couple centimetres or less, as most of the precipitation will fall as rain or freezing rain.

There is still some uncertainty as to the exact track of the low pressure area. A small deviation in the track will affect how much rain or freezing rain falls over any given location.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
