Whether you’re planning an activity for your family, a group of friends or a special someone, you’ll find a unique rural experience right at your doorstep. Surround yourself with nature and fresh air and build memories right here at home! Here are some ideas to get you started:
Alpaca Trekking
Get up close and personal with adorable alpacas at Davidson Estate Alpacas farm in Oro-Medonte. Walk through the forested trail with a docile alpaca in tow, and take as many Insta-worth photos as you like.
These gentle animals are safe to interact with and lead in a halter. During your visit to Davidson Estate Alpacas, you can have the opportunity to safely feed them, pet them and make friends with these special creatures.

Treetop Trekking and Ziplining
Swing through the trees and enjoy an adrenaline-inducing day out on a variety of aerial courses ranging from beginner to advanced! Treetop Trekking at Horseshoe Resort is filled with exciting ziplines, wooden bridges, balance cables, net walkways, and much more, all set in the scenic Copeland Forest.
No experience is needed to come out and try your hand at several different aerial courses. You’ll find one that suits your abilities. Are you an advanced climber with a need for speed? Check out the advanced and expert courses!
Bringing little ones? Kids aged 5 to 8 can enjoy a special kids course filled with wood bridges, balance logs, net walkways, mini ziplines, and much more, all suspended 3-5 feet off the ground. Adults get to watch and cheer on their kids from the ground.
Looking for something unique and extra-exciting? Look out for special Night Treks, when you can explore the aerial courses while wearing a headlamp under a starry night sky.

Horseback Trail Riding
Ride a majestic horse through a towering forest while learning about the ancient art of horseback riding with expert guides. The Boutique Trail Riding Experience at Glen Oro Farm allows guests to ge to know their horse and practise horse care and grooming before setting out on the scenic trails.
You’ll ride through gentle rolling fields, rugged trails and forested vistas as a group. Keep your eyes out for forest creatures such as deer and rabbits along the way. You might also catch a glimpse of Glen Oro’s innovative new stargazer domes.

Harvest Hops Tour
Sip a farm fresh beer and absorb expert brewmaster knowledge on a Harvest Hops Tour at Oro-Medonte’s beloved farm brewery. Stroll through thriving hops fields at Quayle's Brewery and learn about the growing season, soil and the role that hops have in beer-making. Quayle’s friendly brew crew will give you an insider tour of the harvester, toast house and brewery where you will be able to see the various stages of the harvest from farm to kettle.

Wine and Cider Tastings
Sip award-winning artisanal ciders and wines and get insider information on the wine and cider making processes at Heritage Estate. This boutique vineyard and cidery offers delightful tours and tastings in a scenic rural setting complete with a century farmhouse, charming tasting room, wedding venue and state-of-the-art on-site processing facility.
Enjoy your delicious guided tasting amid tranquil vineyard scenery. Guided Tastings include six samples with your expert guide. This is a blind tasting, so after you make your guesses as to what product you have sampled, they will tell you all about it!
After your tour, stay a while and enjoy the patio or cider garden. Seasonal menu options and cheese and charcuterie boards are made to order.
