Thank you to everyone who came out to support the grand re-opening of Harvey's May 12! A special thank you goes to Laura Dickson of Harvey's for inviting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia to take part in the festivities.

Laura and her Little Brother, James, came into the office this week and presented the agency with a cheque for $829.36 as a result of their fund-raising event that marked their re-opening.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District currently has over 150 volunteers who selflessly provide over 11,250 volunteer hours each year! Last year alone these volunteers were able to serve 367 children.

Big Brother Big Sisters of Orillia provides direct service to children by matching volunteers and youths in quality mentoring relationships. Backed by our National Office, our agency staff members are experts at screening volunteers and matching them with a mentee having similar interests, including our Nationally recognized Child Safety Training program.

We put every effort into qualifying, training and supporting our volunteers and families, all with a goal to ensure that every relationship is not only positive but life changing.
