YMCA OF SIMCOE/MUSKOKA

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is delighted to once again receive the support of Zehrs’ Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign to assist children in Simcoe/Muskoka. The campaign invites members of the community to support healthy, active living opportunities for children by donating to the YMCA.

From June 28 to July 11, Zehrs Markets stores in Ontario invite shoppers to Give a Little, Help a Lot by adding $2 to their grocery bill in support of their local YMCA.

All funds collected from the Alliston, Big Bay Point, Bradford, Duckworth, Essa Road and Orillia Zehrs stores will provide financial assistance to enable kids in Simcoe/Muskoka to participate in health-focused YMCA programs like day camps, after-school programs, sports and swimming through YMCA health and fitness memberships.

“The Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign gives children the opportunity, no matter their financial circumstances, to attend YMCA programs and be part of a supportive community,” says Brian Shelley, Vice President, Philanthropy, Brand and Community Development, YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.

“Since this campaign began ten years ago, hundreds of kids have benefited from the generosity of our community, and we are truly grateful for their support.”

Zehrs Markets and their parent company, Loblaw Companies Limited, have been working with the YMCA for the past ten years to create opportunities for children to connect with each other, gain healthy habits, and reach their full potential. The community’s support of the Zehrs’ Give a Little, Help a Lot campaign continues to help make this possible.
