As of 3 p.m., the south-bound portion of Highway 11 at Soules Road, just north of Orillia, remained closed due to a crash involving a tractor trailer and a pickup truck.
According to the Orillia OPP, one person was taken to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital by Simcoe County paramedics. The person's condition is not known.
The Severn Township Fire Department is also on the scene.
"Please be patient as emergency services work to reopen the highway," the OPP said on social media.
