The Friends of Simcoe County Museum continue to welcome seniors to enjoy our Seniors’ Social series. Each month, attendees learn something new while enjoying light refreshments.
Two dates remain on the calendar for this spring. Join us and take this opportunity to socialize and enjoy the Simcoe County Museum.
On May 1, Marj Mossman will share the history of our heritage building, Cedar View Cottage, which has been in Marj’s family since 1922.
On June 5, Friends will welcome a guest speaker from the County of Simcoe Forestry Department, who will inform visitors on the history of Simcoe County Forests, including why and how they have developed over time and the basics of our management practices.
These Seniors’ Social events start at 2 p.m. and include treats with tea or coffee. Guests may enjoy the Museum for the remainder of the afternoon.
Admission is $6 per person (cash), with proceeds supporting Simcoe County Museum initiatives. Groups of five or more are asked to register in advance.
