LAGOON CITY FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

The Lagoon City fundraising committee is gearing up for a fabulous Gifts & Goodies Holiday Sale and Fundraiser to be held on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Brechin Legion Hall.
The committee has attracted 19 vendors who are artisans, artists, bakers and crafters to sell their wares. Small businesses have had a tough 18 months thanks to COVID-19. This event gives them the opportunity to rent affordable $15 tables.
The committee is also raising money for families in need in Brechin and surrounding areas, to help out during this holiday season.
“We are so excited about our first event," says Diane Daly, committee member. "We have had to turn away many interested vendors. And we’ve had tremendous community support thus far, including from our premier sponsor, Kate Bassett and Karen Berends, of Kate Bassett Team, Re/Max Edge Realty Inc."
She said the committe is working on getting additional sponsors and noted donations for their table of gifts and goodies are pouring in.
“If this event is as successful as we think it will be, we would consider doing a spring event, too," said Daly.
The event will have a free turkey draw for all customers and a 50/50 draw.
All attendees are reminded that double vaccination for COVID-19 and masks are required.
