NEWS RELEASE
ST. MARK’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
***********************
The congregation of St Mark’s has been busy knitting and crocheting poppies which will be placed in and around the Memorial Garden to help us commemorate the end of World War 1 at a special service Nov. 11. The morning service takes place at 10.30 a.m. and all are welcome to attend.

Church members are also taking part in the Canadian Legion’s Bells of Peace initiative which is designed to emulate that moment of remembrance in honour of our veterans who served in the First World War.

The Church Bell will be rung 100 times at sunset - 4:56 p.m. on Sunday evening Nov. 11, 2018.

Our hope is all who hear the bells will stop and focus on the loss and sacrifice both on the battlefield and at home.

St Mark’s extends an invitation to everyone to join them at 429 Jamieson Dr. and to enjoy hot chocolate following the bell ringing.
