Local club's annual Christmas tree sale takes root this month

Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club will donate portion of proceeds to Sharing Place

The Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club’s annual cut-your-own Christmas tree sale will begin Nov. 26.

During the sale, the club will be accepting donations of non-perishable food for the Sharing Place Food Centre. Those who make a donation can receive free coffee or hot chocolate. Also, $5 from every tree sold will go toward the Sharing Place.

The sale will take place Nov. 26 and 27 and Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at 510 Bass Lake Sideroad E. in Oro-Medonte.

All trees cost $65.

All proceeds from the sales, aside from the money going to the Sharing Place, will go toward conservation projects and outdoors events for kids in Orillia and surrounding areas.
