NEWS RELEASE
SIMCOE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
********************
The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) provincial branch began job action in the form of work-to-rule across Ontario on Nov. 26. Work-to-rule means a partial withdrawal of services by the employee group. This job action has continued to escalate and ETFO members across the province are now participating in rotating walkouts.

In the Simcoe County District School Board, the Simcoe County branch of ETFO represents our permanent elementary teachers, occasional elementary teachers and designated early childhood educators (DECEs).

Kindergarten Communication of Learning documents (K1 and K2 students) and Term One Report Cards (Grades 1-8) were scheduled to be distributed to parents/guardians on Feb. 14, 2020. Due to the ongoing provincial job action, it is not possible to produce elementary report cards at this time.

As always, we encourage you to contact your child’s teacher if you have questions regarding your child’s academic progress and/or well-being.
