Mariposa Arts Theatre is starting off its 2018-19 season with a hilarious romp – Lucky Stiff, a musical farce.
Hapless shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon is set to inherit $6 million with a twist. He must escort his recently deceased uncle, who is suitably embalmed, on the trip of a lifetime to fabulous Monte Carlo – with plenty of wine, women and song. What could go wrong? Another contender for the money? Kidnapping? Gun-wielding villain with bad eyesight? All set to music.
