The Orillia Museum of Art and History is presenting The Mariposa Gala May 26 in support of the museum’s children’s programs.

Following the success of last year’s wine and cheese event, we will be joined again by sommelier and certified fromager Andre Derrick from Vineland Estates Winery. He has chosen a wonderful selection of Vinelands wines paired with fine Canadian cheeses and some tasty dishes from some of our local food purveyors.

We are honoured to present Rustica Pizza Vino, R' Cottage , Shine Juice Bar & Cafe, and Sanafir Restaurant as our featured restaurants. Each restaurant is making special canapés that will delight your senses. These food purveyors are celebrated for their unique ability to create culinary masterpieces. The evening also features custom-made truffles by Kathy's Kakes.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the delicious food and so much more in the company of friends, colleagues and family to raise money for OMAH’s programming that supports at-risk children and youth.

Also on the menu is a live painting event with David Beckett where the art created will be featured in the evening’s silent auction. There will also be live music by The Jazz Byrds.

With your help, our goal is to expand our community outreach in partnership with local and regional charities by providing transportation, meals and opportunities for children and youth to participate in programming that would otherwise not be available to them. These specialized programs support children’s development and youth’s portfolio development for admission to post-secondary education.

We look forward to seeing you on May 26 at Lakehead University Orillia, Simcoe Hall building. Together, we can help at-risk children and youth experience the joy of creating, learning and growing in a safe fun space.

VIP tickets are sold out. General tickets ($75), which includes food and wine pairings, are still available and are available for purchase online or by calling 705-326-2159.
