Programs range from story time, to makeup tips, to Superhero Party to homework help and resume assistance

The Ramara Public Library is about more than just books. Visit www.ramarapubliclibrary.org to learn about a wide variety of programs and services for seniors, adults, teens and children.

PROM/SEM/GRAD DRESS SWAP
May and June, 2018
Do you have a teen who could use a formal gown for their upcoming prom, semi-formal or graduation?  Are you an adult who could use a fancy dress for a special event, wedding, etc.? We are now overwhelmed with donations, so we encourage you to come out and have a look at the wide selection of donations available! Dresses are available for viewing/pickup at the Ramara Centre branch, 5482 Highway #12 South.

SKINAMARINK STORY TIME
Fridays at 10:30 a.m.  until June 1
AGES 0-5
Come join the fun by singing songs, using senses, reading stories and socializing with others.
Registration preferred; however, drop-ins are welcome.

BEAUTY AND MAKEUP TIPS FOR PROM
Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Join local makeup artist Jessica Perigo, from Cavana Spa, as she gives a makeup demonstration and shares some of her “go-to” products that will give young women that special glow for their prom night!  PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required.

PA DAY: SO GLAD 2 BE ME!
Friday, May 18 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
AGES 7-13
COST: $10
Girls! Come and build your self-esteem and talk about challenges, changes and emotions. Create a beautiful gift for yourself and have fun with other girls your age. A pizza lunch is included (bring own snacks/drinks). Seats are limited, so register today! Materials provided.

Join us as we celebrate a belated 114th birthday for beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss!

PA DAY: SOCK MONSTER WORKSHOP
Friday, May 18 at 2 p.m.
AGES 8+
Interested in designing your own fuzzy friend? Try your creativity by making a sock monster! Please bring your favourite sock (the brighter and more patterns the better!).

ANGIE'S STORY
Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m.
Angie is a 40-year-old woman living a fulfilling life with a mental illness. She is a wife and a mother of two. Angie speaks from the heart and uses humour to help the audience understand what it's like to live everyday with depression and anxiety. Angie’s story is one you won’t want to miss!  PLEASE NOTE:  Registration is required.

I SPY SCIENCE!

AGES 5 - 12+
Back by popular demand, this program is bigger and better than ever!  Join us for last session with the program theme being:  Fabulous Filter – Our Drinking Water!

Do you have a superhero at home that would like to celebrate their secret special powers? Join us for a program full of fun, powers and games!

BRECHIN AND RAMARA CENTRE: LEGOMANIA
Join us every Saturday at either library branch (Ramara Centre 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Brechin 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to build a Lego masterpiece! No registration required.
*Please familiarize yourself with our Unattended Children policy if you plan on leaving your child(ren) at the library.*

BRECHIN: Homework Help!
Tuesdays 3:30 to 6 p.m. until June
KINDERGARTEN to GRADE 8
Have homework that you need to finish, but need that extra help? Drop in and visit Rebecca (B.Ed.) at the Brechin branch and she will help you with your questions!

BRECHIN: Beat Boredom!
Thursdays 3:30 to 8 p.m., until June
ALL AGES
Come in with friends and family to spend some quality time building Lego, playing board games, using the computers and colouring! Materials provided.

BRECHIN: Agilec - Employment Services
Agilec Employment Resource Centre provides outreach service at our Brechin branch located at 3247 Ramara Road 47 (in the basement of the Medical Centre). To reserve a time slot, please contact the organization at 705-325-1203, ext. 3012 or by dropping by the Brechin branch on Tuesdays between 1 and 4 p.m. Learn how to develop a cover letter and resume, brush up on your interview skills by learning some tips, develop a career plan and more. Students can seek assistance in finding that much needed summer job!
