ORILLIA COMMUNITY KITCHEN
********************
The Orillia Community Kitchen (OCK) Chef Challenge continues Nov.28 with Mayor Steve Clarke as the celebrity chef. The challenge? To creatively prepare a delicious meal using ingredients inspired by items available at The Sharing Place Food Centre.
After cooking you will enjoy the meal together and learn more about the Orillia Community Kitchen program.
The funds raised from these events will help pay for the Wednesday night drop-in cooking sessions. This program provides community members with food skills and a great opportunity to come together, hang out and have a healthy and tasty meal.
Two successful chef challenges have already been completed, with newly arrived local Chef Kalvin Sherry and Youth Leadership Camp Chef Jennifer Alton.
Mayor Clarke, with his background as a restaurateur, will be an amazing chef for ticket holders in this next round. There is room for 15 people to register for the challenge night, and share in the cooking and eating together. The evening starts at 5 p.m. in St. Paul’s Centre’s lower level Banquet Hall, 62 Peter St. N.
Register soon to ensure you don’t miss the fun. Tickets will sell fast!
Not interested in joining the cooking session? There is room for a limited number of people to join in the meal only. There will be some cards out on the dinner tables for you to pass the time while waiting for dinner.
Cook and Dine Tickets are $50 per person, and Meal Only tickets are $35. Our group rate is $750 (limited to 18 people.) To purchase your ticket, email [email protected] or call 705-327-7814.
