ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS OPP

On Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at 11:40 a.m. members of the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Laurier Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 just North of South River, Laurier Township.
The vehicle, a motorcycle, was northbound when the driver lost control and went in to the centre median. The driver, Salvatore Scolaro, 63, of Etobicoke was taken to hospital by EMS and on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020 he succumbed to his injuries.
