The Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH) is excited to announce four new exhibitions opening this fall, highlighted by a special reception on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Teachers and Their Enduring Impact: The Legacy of José Salas
On view until Jan. 11, 2025
This exhibition honours the influential artist and educator José M. Salas, who inspired countless students during his tenure at Park Street Collegiate Institute. Featuring works by ten artists whose lives he touched, it reflects their individual journeys shaped by his positive mentorship.

This captivating exhibition juxtaposes historic photographs of iconic Orillia sites with current images by Samantha Vessios, highlighting the evolution of Orillia and putting its history into context.
Owl Pen Revisited: A Solo Exhibition by Gillian Lowry

Inspired by Lucille Oille’s relief prints from The Owl Pen, this exhibition explores rural landscapes and personal significance, inviting viewers to reflect on the connection between art and place.

In its 23rd year, this juried exhibition invites artists nationwide to reinterpret the Canadian landscape amidst contemporary challenges. Inspired by the legacy of Franklin Carmichael, a member of the Group of Seven and Orillia native, this exhibition showcases diverse artistic expressions.

This exhibition, created in partnership with the City of Orillia, features local artists interpreting the theme of inclusion, prompting reflection on equal access and community engagement.
