The County of Simcoe is accepting nominations for deserving recipients of the 2019 Newcomer Recognition Awards.
The deadline for this year’s submissions is fast approaching, so act now to recognize stellar community champions in Simcoe County.
The seventh annual Newcomer Recognition Awards is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club in Thornton.
Every year, the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership hosts this spectacular event to recognize outstanding community leaders and champions who take decisive action to enhance the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County.
Applications should be returned by Sept. 23, 2019 either via fax to 705-725-9539, or via email to [email protected], attention Robin Griffiths.
Individuals and/or organizations/businesses can be nominated for the following categories:
- Community Champion
- Immigrant Artist
- Immigrant Entrepreneur
- Immigrant Mentor
- Immigrant Youth
- Service Excellence Award
- Youth Community Champion
- Culturally Diverse Workforce (organization/business)
- Marketing and Outreach (organization/business)
- Multiculturalism through Education (educator/school)
- Welcoming Work Environment (organization/business)
