Nordia, on Hunter Valley Road in Orillia, is collecting donations of mitts, hats, scarves, socks and gently used coats and blankets for the Lighthouse shelter.
Staff were invited to decorate the “tree of warmth” in the reception lobby with these items, and scarves to serve as garland.
Nordia employees have helped the Lighthouse before, with many taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. They also support United Way Simcoe Muskoka by having money deducted from their pay to go directly to the organization. Employees are also collecting food for The Sharing Place Food Bank.
Donations for the Lighthouse can be dropped off at Nordia until Dec. 20. The items will be delivered the next day.
