The parishioners at Sacred Heart Church, located at Highway 12 and Warminster Side Road, are busy preparing for their annual Ham Supper and Garden Party fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 11. For generations, the community has rallied to support the fundraiser for this historic church.
This is a time when, year after year, members of the community of all faiths, the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women’s League at Guardian Angels Church in Orillia and local businesses come together to ensure the success of this event. They volunteer their time, donate salads, pies, cash and prizes for the silent auction. The well-known local band, The Rugby Boys, generously liven up the festivities with their down-home music.
Dinner sittings are being held at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Dinner tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for children under 12 and preschoolers are free.
