INNISFIL - Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has issued a second-quarter (July 1 to Sept. 30, 2019) non-tax gaming revenue payment of $1,943,991 to the Town of Innisfil for hosting Gateway Casinos – Innisfil.

Since November 2001, Innisfil has received more than $85.9 million in non-tax gaming revenue.

“Revenues generated at local gaming sites are directly funding improvements to our local infrastructure. Improvements are being made to our roads and public transit systems, as well as funding our community programs and services,” said Andrea Khanjin, MPP for Barrie-Innisfil. “OLG’s partnerships with host municipalities are very beneficial, as they are directly contributing to a better quality of life in our communities.”

These payments are made under an equitable formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement that determines the funds municipalities receive for hosting a gaming facility and are based on a graduated scale of gaming revenue that is consistent across all sites in Ontario.

OLG provides the Ontario government with its largest source of non-tax revenue from Government Business Enterprises. In 2018-2019, this amounted to $2.47 billion.
