Orillia man accused of murder in Collingwood in court today

The man accused of murdering a Collingwood woman in June at a home in Georgian Meadows remains in jail while his case goes through the courts. 

John Collins faces first-degree murder charges, and the case has been going through the courts since June. His most recent appearance was today, Nov. 16. He will appear again on Dec. 7. The details of his appearances are under a publication ban. 

Collins is accused of killing Kinga ‘Kay’ Kriston, 55, who was found dead in her home in Georgian Meadows on Friday, June 10. She was a local realtor.

Police charged 57-year-old Collins, of Orillia, with first-degree murder in connection with their investigation into Kriston’s death. No charges have been proven in court.
