Who makes a real difference in Oro-Medonte Township?
The township is accepting nominations for a 2018 Senior of Year recipient and a 2018 Citizen of the Year recipient. Please take the time to nominate a resident who you believe has the greatest impact on improving the quality of community life in Oro-Medonte.
The Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year Award honours a resident’s volunteer efforts that benefits the quality of life in the township and demonstrates commitment to community service, support and leadership for a lasting quality of community life, significant volunteer involvement, outreach and assistance to those in need, and who is optimistic and an inspiring role model with a desire to make a positive impact.
The Ontario Senior of the Year Award gives each municipality in Ontario the opportunity to honour one outstanding local senior. Recipients must be over 65 and must have made their communities better places to live.
Please submit a completed Nomination Application form available at www.oro-medonte.ca or at the Township Administration Office. Nominees must be a resident of Oro-Medonte.
The submission deadline for both awards is Wednesday, Feb. 28. Nominations may be dropped at the Township Administration Centre or mailed to the Township of Oro-Medonte, Attention Clerk’s Office, 148 Line 7 South, Oro-Medonte, ON L0L 2E0. Also, completed forms will be accepted by email to [email protected] and by fax at 705-487-0133.
