Police are not yet releasing any further information about a crash that claimed the life of a Sebright teen Sunday morning.

Lucas Dunlop, 19, was hit by a vehicle while he was walking in Ramara Township at about 4:15 a.m.

When asked where, specifically, the collision happened and whether it was a hit-and-run, Kawartha Lakes OPP declined to provide any further details.

Central Region OPP Sgt. Peter Leon, when reached by OrilliaMatters, cited the investigation for the lack of information being released.

“Until the post-mortem is concluded, the OPP is not in a position to respond at this time,” he said. “The OPP is assisting the coroner with a death investigation at this time and we are hopeful that the post-mortem will answer some of the questions we are seeking answers to.”

The post-mortem was scheduled for Monday.
