Ramona WinterFest happening Feb. 17

Annual event includes cross-country-skiing, silent auction and more
Cross-country-skiers

Ramona Hall will host its annual Ramona WinterFest Feb. 17.

This year's theme is Viva Las Ramona Celebration.

Plan an enjoyable time this winter by cross-country skiing, hiking, walking or snowshoeing through Mother Nature's pristine forest. Check out the back-country and discover what's over the hills and around the next corner on the groomed, five-kilometre trail, and try your luck at having the best poker hand. There are five check points where each participant will have fun picking a card, and the top five hands win cash prizes.

If you prefer to staying indoors and love to see the snow from the other side of the glass, enjoy delicious food/lunch, euchre party, games, kids' activities and much more. (LLBO.)

The event will take place at the Ramona Hall on Fairgrounds Road, Washago (eight minutes from County Road 169 and Highway 11).

The trail will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The silent auction runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The euchre party starts at 1:30 p.m. Poker hand entries must be received at the hall registration table by 4 p.m. to be eligible for cash prizes.

Admission is $5 per person, which comes with a WinterFest button designed by a local elementary student.
