The Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre is hosting a Mad Hatter Tea & Cupcake Auction on Saturday, Feb. 24 to help animals in need within the community.
Friends of the Orillia Animal Centre are invited to Geneva Event Centre in Orillia from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 to enjoy a breakfast buffet.
There will also be auction items, including hand-made cupcake creations, door prizes, raffles and more. And don’t forget to wear your best hat for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes up for grabs!
Tickets are $25 per person for this all-ages event in support of the Orillia Animal Centre. Tickets can be purchased at the Orillia Animal Centre, located at 467 West St. North in Orillia, or by phone at 705-325-1304.
“The Mad Hatter Tea & Cupcake Auction is fun, delicious and, best of all, proceeds go towards helping the lives of animals here in our community,” says Carol Beard, Manager, Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre. “We are excited to invite our community out to helps us continue the life-saving work we do each and every day.”
The Mad Hatter Tea & Cupcake Auction is part of National Cupcake Day, a sweet fundraising event presented in partnership by the Ontario SPCA and the BC SPCA in support of local SPCAs and Humane Societies across the country.
To officially recognize the occasion, Orillia Mayor Steve Clarke has proclaimed Feb. 26 to be National Cupcake Day in the City of Orillia.
Proceeds from National Cupcake Day help the Ontario SPCA support our furry friends, big and small, who have been abused, abandoned, or are in need of a new home. The campaign has raised $2.45 million to date, with $600,000 raised last year by animal lovers across Canada.
