A 19-year-old Sebright resident was struck by a vehicle and killed early this morning.
Lucas Dunlop was struck by a vehicle in Ramara Township at about 4:15 a.m. this morning and subsequently died as a result of his injuries. Few details about the incident are being released.
Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the call in the Carden area.
Initial investigation indicated the 19-year-old had been struck by a vehicle in the Ramara Township area.
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, under the direction of Detective Inspector Scott Moore of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
The OPP's Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. A post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.
